At Wholesale Firewood Supplies (WFS), we believe great work comes from loving what you do. That’s exactly what happened back in 1983, when Doug and Marilyn founded WFS. With a passion for the outdoors and a strong connection to nature, firewood quickly became the perfect fit for our family business.
From humble beginnings, delivering just two loads a week on a small flatbed truck WFS has grown into one of the region’s most trusted firewood suppliers.
Today, we use modern processing equipment and a reliable fleet of trucks to serve customers across Wellington, Wairarapa and the Kapiti Coast.
Over the decades, more family members joined the team. Each brought their own skills in management, logistics, mechanics, and customer care. Our close-knit crew feels like family and many have been with us for years. Our drivers build friendly, lasting relationships with customers. That’s helped create the loyal customer base we’re proud of today.

From the forest floor to your door
We’ve got great friends in forestry, and through these trusted partnerships, we access quality logs that might otherwise go unused. At Wholesale Firewood Supplies, we manage the entire firewood process from start to finish. Using specialised machinery, we cut and split whole logs on-site, giving us complete control over firewood quality, sizing, and seasoning. By processing all our own wood, we maintain strict quality standards and deliver only clean-burning, well-seasoned firewood ready to keep your home warm and comfortable.
